Environmental Justice Partnership (EJP)

• Reduce exposure to harmful PM2.5 pollution in highly impacted communities. 
• Equip residents with clear, accessible education on air quality and its health effects. 
• Provide indoor air purifiers to lower exposure to dangerous pollutants. 
• Strengthen community-led air monitoring and expand the regional sensor network. 
• Uplift community voices to guide and shape local air quality policies. 
• Partner with residents and stakeholders to address air quality concerns identified and prioritized by the community.

Due to the unexpected loss of EPA funding, SDAPCD must pause the purchase of sensor-based air monitors, remaining workshops, and new educational materials.  We remain fully committed to this project and to the communities we serve. In the meantime, we are seeking new funding, strengthening partnerships, and preparing materials so we can quickly restart. Workshops and monitoring will resume as soon as funding is secured.
