This page contains the currently adopted rules for San Diego County. The San Diego Air Pollution Control District attempts to keep this section updated. However, there may be a delay of up to thirty days between approval of a new or amended rule and its availability on this web page.

Individual rules may be accessed by clicking on their respective regulation headers below.  Scroll down the list to find a particular rule.  Rules are in Word and Acrobat PDF formats.  Click on the appropriate format to view or download the text of that rule.  Download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Regulations are broken down into a number of rules, each dealing with a specific topic.  Please note that many of the rules, specifically rules in Regulations IV, VI, X, XI, and XII, relate to a specific type of operation or source of pollution.  These generally contain a statement of conditions under which the rule applies, definitions of terms, requirements of the rule, and allowances or exemptions.  In addition, Rule 2 in Regulation II has definitions of terms used generally throughout the rules.
