CURRENT INFORMATION ON SDAPCD TRAINING PROGRAMS The Compliance Division offers
industry specific training courses to help customers understand and
comply with District Rules. Each course explains the applicability,
exemptions, and definitions contained in each rule. Special emphasis is given to rule standards and recordkeeping
requirements.
Air pollution basics will be discussed with a
point-by-point description of District compliance inspections.The District will issue a Certificate of Completion to each
participant who successfully completes the class.
Course
cost is non-refundable. Cancellations must be
made three (3) days prior to course date, in order to receive credit for a
subsequent class date. There
are a limited number of spaces available for each class.
Registration is
on a first come, first served basis, based upon receipt of registration form
and payment. Classes are held in the APCD Conference Room located at: 10124 Old

17 CCR - DRY CLEANING TRAINED OPERATOR INITIAL CERTIFICATION
AND RECERTIFICATION COURSES
This
certification is required by law for dry cleaners who use
perchloroethylene. These courses are either to provide
initial certification, or to recertify dry cleaning operators
who have previously attended the initial certification course
and currently hold the original certificate. All attendees
must bring their TIFF detectors and photo identification to
class. Those seeking recertification must also bring their
latest certificate to class.

COMPRESSION IGNITION ENGINES
This course covers the requirements of this California laws, which
applies to the owners/operators of stationary compression ignition (i.e.diesel) engines.

Rule 67.20 – Motor Vehicle and Mobile Equipment Refinishing Operations This
course covers compliance issues specific to the automotive refinishing industry. Participants will learn how to calculate the volatile organic compound (VOC)
content of base coat / clear coat combinations and multi-component
coatings. Spray gun, surface preparation, and equipment cleaning requirements
will be discussed. Recordkeeping
packages will be reviewed and distributed to participants.
