You may apply for a variance or permit appeal by submitting the appropriate forms to the Clerk of the Air Pollution Control District Hearing Board, located at 1600 Pacific Highway, Room 402, San Diego, CA 92101. You must complete all forms and pay the appropriate fee before the Clerk will schedule your variance or appeal hearing.

Note: If you are to be represented by a consultant at the hearing, you must also submit the Agent's Authorization form.
A written explanation of the grounds for the appeal (See District Rule 25).

Once you realize you may need to apply for a variance or appeal a permit, submit the forms as soon as possible. The Hearing Board Calendar shows the variance filing deadline for the next hearing date. Rule 25 contains filing deadlines for permit appeals.
